Facing the historic trend of global supply chain restructuring, Dongfeng Town, China—where 80% of enterprises are export-oriented—is exploring new paths for globalization. This episode of Small Towns Linking the World examines two distinct breakthrough models adopted by the local industry.
On one hand, leading enterprises like Enaiter are proactively establishing an overseas presence. Enaiter's modern factory in Thailand is set to commence operations soon, marking a strategic upgrade from "exporting products" to "exporting industrial capacity" by transferring mature production systems and quality control standards. On the other hand, to address the challenge that SMEs cannot bear the costs of overseas expansion individually, Dongfeng Town established the Cross-border E-commerce Association. Through initiatives such as organizing overseas study tours, collective exhibition participation, the association helps enterprises shift from "going alone" to "sailing in formation".
Experts note that this proactive participation in global supply chain not only sustains industrial value but also solidifies Zhongshan's position as the industry's foundation.
